Today's Evolution

I woke up today with the idea that I wanted a wood back drop.  After spending some time on Pinterest to see how folks were accomplishing this I set out to Home Depot!  It took no time at all.   I was back home with my wood and paint before lunch!
Stain, wipe, flip, stain, wipe.  Done.  The trick to making wood look somewhat distressed is mixing 50% paint with 50% water!  Who knew?  Well, Pinterest did.  Weeeeeeeeeeeeee

Found myself the perfect subject for the look I was going for.
You don't need to glue the planks together.  I'm not.  I'd like the option of traveling with them and storing them easier.  You could also attach hinges to the back.  I plan on staining the other side white
so that I can use both sides.  Brill.  Here's the final product!  I just had to snap a shot of my 5 month old bearded dragon.  Why not?

Frank Sinatra Does It Again

I had the pleasure of shooting a good friend of mine's Father a couple days ago.   He was such a joy to work with!   We had a great session listening to Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, amongst other greats.  As soon as he came in and heard the music he was at ease and in his comfort zone.  Music is so powerful!  I think I'll ask my clients their favorite genre of music from now on!!
I  failed every pop quiz question about who the artists were but it was so much fun!   What a handsome gent to boot!

Action!

I'm obsessed with action shots right now. I spend some time with a friend of mine the other day teaching her how to focus my camera so that she could capture some action shots I wanted to do. This photo I did with my daughter was the inspiration. Stay tuned!

Fantasy

I am so excited to shoot Alison this weekend!  The inspiration and theme for the shoot is fantasy, imagination,  and wonder.  Stay tuned!
Happy Summer everyone! Here's a few shots from my recent shoots! We've got Alina, Ari, Lauren, Lorena and Alyssa.   All of whom I could eat for breakfast!

Sunset In Puerto Rico

Who doesn't enjoy an amazing sunset?  I know I do.  I was born in Hawaii and grew up in Northern California.  I know sunsets!  Living on the east coast hasn't afforded me the amazing sunsets I grew up with and I miss them!   Recently, my husband, kids and I went on a trip to Puerto Rico.  The minute we pulled into the villa I looked up the sunset time on google and bam!  I had fifteen minutes to run to the beach and snap away.  Here's one of many I took that night.  Happy sunsetting to all!

Thomas!

Thomas, the speeding bullet!  That should be this album title.  This amazingly cute boy was so fun to shoot.  I had to be super fast on that shutter in the hopes of capturing my ever-moving subject!  Thomas is a little whippersnapper who loves his life on the farm in Ringtown, PA.   At one point he said to me, "get that camera off your face!"  He just wanted to play with me.   He's in his element on the farm with all the animals and land to play on.    Thank you Pam for giving me the opportunity to capture little Thomas!  ....that lil' rascal!
